This was a good one. One of his early strays from anything resembling a horror story, but perfectly so. I found I still pictured (no matter how hard I tried not to) all the characters as they were in the film. River Phoenix, Wil Wheaton, Corey Feldman, and Jerry O'Connel. I did this even knowing that they'd been described differently.
This book did what so few are able to do (at least few that I've read), which is to drip with nostalgia and the memory of the shining days of youth, but without any sort of pretentiousness. Well done, Mr. King. Well done. It felt like there was more of you in this one that in most of the others.
